Antique Diamond Flower Brooch Platinum 8.50ctw

JSN0089

This antique early 1900s Edwardian diamond brooch is absolutely superb both in craftsmanship and the quality of the materials. It is made of solid platinum and has a very nice weight to it at 30.6 grams. The design resembles that of a blooming flower in motion as all of the pieces are moving in a radial motion towards the top of the brooch. The top or the opening of the flower holds a 6-prong set natural old European cut diamond weighing about 1.00 carat and graded J - K in color and I1 in clarity. Rose cut diamond’s are encrusted on virtually every surface of this masterpiece as there are 156 rose cut’s in total weighing approximately 7.00 carats. Another European cut diamond emerges on the bottom right side of the brooch between the petal and leaf. This one is about half the size of the larger one at .50 carats and is graded K-L in color and I1 in clarity. The brooch measures 2” from North to South and 1 3/4” from East to West. It is in pristine condition and is accompanied with an antique brooch box.
