This exquisitely crafted Mid-Century brooch from the 1960s is in pristine condition and features beautiful rich azure blue enamelwork, florentine gold detail and bright white diamonds. The vintage pin measures a mere 2 1/2” in length exhibiting gorgeous detail as the petals fold over and bloom with ease. The enamelwork displays a gold lining around the edges as well as folding white gold petals encrusted with single cut diamonds. There are 55 diamonds total graded H-I in color and SI1-SI2 in clarity weighing about .25 carats. The florentine finish on the stem is perfectly rendered as small thorns emerge from it adding to its realistic impression. A very small screw and a square tightening nut are on the back of the brooch on the rose bud which this was used to remove and replace with another top. The brooch weighs 17 grams of solid 18kt gold.
